For couples looking for a more relaxed wedding day, a barn venue is a great option and comes with its own rustic charm. While many of these venues have some great history behind them, they are often incredibly spacious and provide a beautiful backdrop for both your ceremony and reception. Here are just a few of our favorite wedding barns in Indiana for your special day.

Hidden Hollow Farm

Hidden Hollow Farm began as a project of love when the owners sought to create a memorable wedding venue for their oldest daughter. Nestled in the woods of Crawfordsville, Hidden Hollow’s barn can accommodate up to 250 guests and is perfect for both an indoor or outdoor ceremony. The venue is pet friendly and includes any furniture needed for your special day, event planning, setup + cleanup and more.

Mustard Seed Gardens

Mustard Seed Gardens first originated in 1835 as a family-owned farmstead. Not only does the venue have gorgeous lush gardens and 100-year-old maple and pine trees, it also features a beautiful barn with high vaulted ceilings and original hardwood floors which can accommodate 200 guests. Mustard Seed Gardens offers a bridal suite, groom room and kitchen along with full-service for all of their couples.

The Barn on Boundary

First constructed in the early 1990s, The Barn on Boundary sits on 220 acres of countryside and features a breathtaking barn with original timbers and bark. The venue can hold up to 300 of your friends and family, and is available for weddings from April through November due to a lack of climate control for the cooler months. The barn holds 8,600 square feet of floor space, with both chandeliers and string lighting for a cozy feel for your special day.

White Willow Farms

Located in Arcadia just north of Carmel, White Willow Farms was one of the first operating granaries in Indiana in the early 1940s. Its event barn is 5,400 square feet with climate control, spacious floors and tall, lofty ceilings to easily accommodate any large guest list. October Wedding Ideas You Must See

August 7, 2020 By //  by Gretchen Reynolds

With cooler temperatures and beautiful fall decor, it’s no wonder October is now one of the most popular months to get married. From festive drinks to wedding invites with rustic charm, here are some of our favorite October wedding ideas you must see.

Fall ideas for your October wedding

Earth Tones

With October landing right in the middle of the fall season, this is the perfect chance to take advantage of its earthy colors. You can go the more neutral route with browns, burnt orange or burgundy. If you prefer brighter colors, we recommend choosing a few peach, navy or emerald green colors. You can also incorporate these hues into your bridesmaids dresses, your partner’s tux or boutonnières, and more!

Flavorful Cake

Why not get a little creative with your fall wedding cake? ‘Tis the season to ditch the boring cake flavors and add a little extra spice. Apple and pumpkin spice are two of the most popular October flavors – and also taste great when baked. Gingerbread and red velvet are also fun options for your October wedding ideas, and can be topped with icing, caramel, melted chocolate or even no icing at all!

Toasty Beverages

October is full of festive drinks like apple cider and toasty hot chocolate. Also known for its colder weather, an October wedding is a great time for warm refreshments. One of our favorite October wedding ideas is to treat your guests (and yourself) to a bar full of their favorite seasonal drinks and hot toddies. Be sure to include a variety of options for all ages, along with popular garnishes such as cinnamon, marshmallows, rosemary and more so guests can customize however they’d like.

Seasonal Bouquet

As you keep with the season, October has so many great seasonal flowers including dahlias, magnolias and roses. When creating your wedding day bouquet, we recommend pairing similar hues such as burgundy and peach to create a gorgeous assemble with your blooms. You can also include some green foliage such as ferns and eucalyptus for a more rustic, seasonal look.

What are some of your favorite fall trends to enjoy in October? We offer a vast assortment of bridal wear that is perfect for an autumn wedding. Contact usto learn more!
